Real Reasons Senator Melaye Flew Out Of In Transit Police Vehicle’s Window Into Emergency Unit Of Hospital

Senator Melaye on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, flew out of the window of a police car and suffered a terrible consequence.

He got self, admitted to the emergency unit of Zankil Hospital, Abuja with a “broken leg”.

But police insist his aim making such a drastic would not be achieved.

“He will be arraigned in court without delay” Spokes person Jimoh Moshood disclosed in a press statement.

Melaye was been taken to Federal High Court, Lokoja – Kogi state from Abuja to be arraigned when unknown persons alleged waylaid the police patrol taking and helped him to escape through the window.

“The Senator reportedly jumped out of the window” reports here and there stated.

Melaye who is engaged in a running battle with the Governor of his state, Yahaya Bello wants his arraignment to hold in Abuja and not Kogi state.

He claims his security is not guaranteed.

And stretched his claims to point of his life is not safe in his state, Kogi.

But the police is insisting the charges against him originated from crimes committed in Kogi state.

Melaye – though claims innocence – faces allegations of supplying arms and ammunitions to murder suspects.

He was arrested after weeks of a doggy affair with the police which resulted in his been declared wanted.

The Senator after a arrest on his way out of the country and controversial release agreed to make self available to the police yesterday in bid to put the matter to rest, only for his “dramatic” escape in transit from police custody to open another interesting chapter.

Here is how the police detailed the Senator’s talk of the town escape from police custody

‘’At about 1200Hrs of today Sen. Dino Melaye while in lawful custody of the Nigeria Police Force and being taken for arraignment in Federal High Court, Lokoja from Abuja, escaped from lawful custody when hoodlums and miscreants in Two (2) Toyota Hilux Vehicles blocked the Police vehicle conveying Senator Dino Melaye around Area 1 Round About, Abuja and in the process the Senator jumped out of the Police vehicle through the window and was rescued from the Police men by hoodlums and miscreants to an unknown destination.

2. The Police team re-enforced and trailed Senator Dino Melaye to Zankli Hospital, Abuja where he was re-arrested. The Senator would be arraigned in court without further delay.

3. Meanwhile, one of the Toyota Hilux vehicles used by the hoodlums and miscreants in aiding the escape of the Senator has been recovered by the Police investigation team.

4. The Inspector General of Police has therefore directed a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the rescue and escape of Senator Dino Melaye from lawful custody.
