Very much loved Nigerian Fola Adeola has surrendered his political ambition.

He is no more interested in becoming the Vice President of Nigeria or taking up any political position.

And the reason is simple, the co founder of Guaranty Trust Bank suffered such a grand level of betrayal that his decision to quit politics was resolute.

He was reportedly betrayed by those who gave him the confidence to make an incursion into politics not too long.

Adeola was the Vice Presidential Candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria – one of the political parties that formed the ruling All Progressives Congress.

The Presidential candidate was Malam Nuhu Ribadu.

Adeola was said to have heavily invested in the political adventure but ended up with his fingers badly burnt.

Allegations promoters of his party sold out to the then ruling People’s Democratic Party before the election rocked the loss suffered.

Insiders claimed that Adeola eventually secured pieces of evidence that broke his heart – in the face of the allegations – and made him make the resolute decision – no more active politicking.

He is said to have embraced the option of supporting friends in politics which is why he is mostly seen around politicians – nowadays.
