Omisore Insists No Going Back In Contesting Osun Guber As Party Men Remain Aghast!

It is confirmed. Otunba Iyiola Omisore is not backing down in the plan to contest the gubernatorial election of Osun state.

He is all out to become the People’s Democratic Party candidate.

The election holds in the second quarter of next year – 2018.

And to his credit, Omisore’s resolved is emboldened by the fact that he “legally” holds the political structure of the party in the state.

He is a key ally of Ahmed Makarfi, head of the committee legally recognized to midwife the return of the PDP to reckoning.

But checks revealed the aspirant is not a popular choice amongst the party members.

While he “officially” holds the party structure in the state, sources disclose the numbers are held elsewhere.

“It’s true he posses the structure but the loyalty of the larger percentage of party men belong elsewhere…and they are not comfortable with his ambition” an insider stated.

Societynow, however, gathered – even faced with this seemingly unfavorable equation – Omsiore remains undeterred in his resolve to contest as the party candidate.

And the party men against him remain “aghast” and unable to come to terms with reasons for his resolve.

Omisore was the PDP candidate Governor Rauf Aregbesola floored at the polls to secure second term.
