Ogun 2027: Corporate Executive Balogun Emerges Yayi’s Running Mate

Kudirat Abiodun Balogun has emerged as the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, bringing to the ticket more than three decades of experience in finance, corporate governance, manufacturing, business transformation and strategic leadership.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola is the Governorship candidate. He secured the APC gubernatorial ticket through a consensus arrangement that was validated by a routine primary.

A distinguished corporate executive and finance professional, Balogun currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, Finance and Information Technology at Rite Foods Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous manufacturing companies. She is widely credited with playing a key role in the company’s growth and expansion over the years.

Balogun holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MBA in Finance from Bayes Business School, London. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.

Her professional development includes executive leadership programmes at Harvard Business School and the Wharton School, institutions renowned for producing global business leaders.

Beyond her corporate accomplishments, Balogun is known for her commitment to women empowerment, youth development, entrepreneurship and institutional excellence. She has earned recognition for her integrity, competence, innovation and results-driven approach to leadership.
