Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control – NAFDAC-, Mr Paul Orhi is presently undergoing a probe.

And his investigators are agents of anti corruption organ, Economic and Financial Crimes Agency (E.F.C.C).

Sources confirmed the case against the controversial figure revolves around allegation of collusion and romantic involvement with the end result of abuse of office.

The allegations against him are said to originate from an anonymous deep source within the agency he heads. The tip off reportedly came in form of a petition.

Insiders revealed a N700m was traced to one of the accounts of his close aide,Aishat Okpa- his former personal assistant redeployed as Head of the Lagos Liaison office.

Surface digs were said to have revealed transaction of suspicious nature- with individuals perceived as ‘not out to deal with based on her job portfolio and the functions of her agency’

Insiders further alleged the appearance a clandestine involvement of others in the agency also emerged – particularly some one at the very top.

Sources revealed it is a known development within the agency that the D.G and Aisha enjoys ‘a relationship perceived to be intimate’

Information revealed Mr Orhi facilitated her employment into the agency from a bank job as his Personal Assistant, then redeployed her to the sensitive post of Head of the Lagos Liaison office.

According to a source ‘ against the backdrop of the numbers of more experienced and influential staffers she met on the job, it takes more than competence and everyday affiliation to leap frog to her position’

Insiders revealed investigators are exploring all angles to establish (or dispense) allegations of collusion and/ or relationship that resulted in abuse of office.

Insiders revealed the investigation is intense- and development becoming an open talk point among staffers at the agency.
