Lagos, Ogun Declare August 20 As Public Holiday To Celebrate Isese

The Ogun and Lagos State Governments have announced Wednesday , August 20, 2025, as a public holiday to commemorate the annual Isese Day celebration. 

It would be recalled that August 20 was formally declared a public holiday in 2023, following a motion passed by the House of Assemblies of the states and the concurrent approval of Governors Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Babajide Sanwo-Olu( Lagos) .
