Moves by the federal lawmaker to checkmate the development are describe as futile.
The House of Representative member seeking a third term in office had relied on the influence of his large followers to actualise his dream.
He is said to have doled out monetary gifts and about two hundred cars – 200 – to followers as part of moves to perfect his game plan in the last three years.
Among notable beneficiaries of the car largese are Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola Mr. Rasaq Ademola (the Peoples Democratic Party Chairman in the State), Alhaji Adeojo (the party secretary) and Dr. Sola Oladeinde (a former commissioner)

The former governor Oyinlola reportedly got another Toyota Camry gift from the lawmaker when the latter was endorsed by party echelon to represent the people of Oriade/Obokun federal constituency for the third time.
All these multi million naira political investments however appears to be going down the drain with the mass defection of his supporters to rival political party.
The defecting supporters were pencil down to ensure grass root support for the popular lawmaker at the 2011 polls.
Investigations revealed the emergence of Engr. Rauf Aregbesola of ACN as governor via an appeal court judgement that invalidated Oyinlola’s regime as the cause of Hon. Oke’s present dilemma.
His supporters are said to be crossing over to ACN in other to ensure continuous patronage from the state government to remain relevant in the politics of the state.
