Checks by societynowng.com revealed growing concerns over banding together of pro Biafra protesters in Lagos state.
The advocators of the republic of Biafra staged a mega rally that grounded activities at commercial nerve centre, Alaba International Market yesterday – Wednesday December 16 2015.
The development saw a huge number of the protesters cloaked in branded T- shirts and caps, completed with flags take over the major roads and demanding closure of the market in honour of their demand.

The protest was part of several others agitating for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu is currently in detention undergoing investigation for terrorism charges by the Depart of State Services.
Protests by those agitating for his release in others states are known to have turned ugly with reported cases deaths, robberies, needless violence and related vices.
Societynowng.com learnt it is the possibility of such a scenerio re enacting itself in Lagos that is giving residents, particularly those in the areas of planned protests growing cause for concern.
Pro Biafra protesters are believed to have firm roots in Ilasamaja, Mile 2 and it’s environs.
According to checks by societynowng.com they have been holding meetings for a couple of years in the area and at intervals do street walks after their gatherings on which falls on weekends.
Informants claim resident look the other way and view them as harmless agitators for a lost cause.
But fresh information revealed the protest yesterday has speedily changed perception and sparked off concerns.
Added revelations have it that the growing fear lays in what manner of confidence the open protest would give the supposedly harmless agitators to start planning and executing more pronounced protests.
‘Already Lagos has its own security issue it is battling, when that mesh with open agitation for a cause like Biafra and hoodlums key in on the opportunity what happens? Who bears the brunt’ a source prodded.
‘Then there is the issue of possible supremacy tussle with an organisation like Oodua People’s Congress which view Lagos as father land.’ Another source pointed out.

Findings by societynowng.com revealed that residents generally concurred the state government needs to find a way to clamp the lid on further protests before the protesters gain further momentum or else the timer of a massive explosion that does no good may be tick off.
