Moslems in Nigeria have been advised to reflect on the virtues, life and times of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) by ensuring that peace remains an integral embodiment of our daily relations with fellow Muslims and those of other faiths.

Member of the House of Representatives, representing Kosofe Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Hon. Dayo Bush-Alebiosu gave this admonition in his Eid-el-Maolud message to Nigerians.

Hon. Bush-Alebiosu said the impact of the Eid-el-Maolud celebration should reflect in the actions and inactions of adherents of the Islamic faith if they indeed have firm conviction in the exemplary life of Prophet Mohammed and the supremacy of Allah SWT.

There are concrete lessons to learn from Allah’s messenger which include love for all mankind, peace with our neighbours and also, absolute conviction in prayers, Hon. Bush-Alebiosu stated.

According to the Federal Lawmaker ,’We do not have to wait till another Eid-el-Maolud before we make that solemn assurance that we must abhor divisive tendencies and materialism but uphold sound tenets and virtues in which Prophet Mohammed lived and died for. He is a role model for the mankind and all Islamic faithful must adhere to his preaching and way of life’.
Hon. Bush-Alebiosu noted that the level of care we show in our homes, families and all our dealings will go a long way in ensuring that the quest for a better and rewarding tomorrow lies in our collective ability and spirit to face common challenges in unity which could only be achieved by the amount of interest we show to our fellow brothers and sisters.

Hon. Bush Alebiosu admonished the people to use this solemn moment to pray for the unity, peace and progress of the nation while urging Nigerians to have unshaken faith in the greatness of our Nation adding that the ‘never say die’ disposition and resilience of an average Nigerian in the attainment of goals and targets is a further testimony that greatness is achievable in Nigeria.
