Former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, is set to return to the grassroots as he leads the party’s statewide Federal Constituency Tour across Osun beginning November 18.

The initiative marks a major political showing for Aregbesola, whose renewed engagement is already generating widespread conversations within the state’s political circles ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

According to the timetable released by the Osun State chapter of the ADC, the tour will begin with the Ifedayo/Ila/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency on Tuesday, November 18, and move through the remaining eight constituencies before concluding in Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu on December 10, 2025.

Below is the official timetable for the tour:

  1. Ifedayo / Ila / Boluwaduro Federal Constituency – Tuesday, 18th November 2025
  2. Ayedaade / Irewole / Isokan Federal Constituency – Thursday, 20th November 2025
  3. Obokun / Oriade Federal Constituency – Tuesday, 25th November 2025
  4. Ifelodun / Boripe / Odo Otin Federal Constituency – Thursday, 27th November 2025
  5. Ife Central / Ife East / Ife North / Ife South Federal Constituency – Tuesday, 2nd December 2025
  6. Ede South / Ede North / Egbedore / Ejigbo Federal Constituency – Thursday, 4th December 2025
  7. Ilesa East / Ilesa West / Atakumosa East / Atakumosa West Federal Constituency – Friday, 5th December 2025
  8. Ayedire / Iwo / Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency – Tuesday, 9th December 2025
  9. Osogbo / Olorunda / Irepodun / Orolu Federal Constituency – Wednesday, 10th December 2025

The ADC said the exercise is aimed at strengthening its grassroots structures, deepening its connection with the people, and reaffirming its commitment to integrity, progressive leadership, and inclusive governance.

In a statement signed by Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, Chairman of the party’s Directorate of Media and Publicity, the tour was described as a strategic mobilization drive ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Within political circles, the tour is being closely watched as a defining moment for the ADC, especially as it positions itself to make a strong showing in next year’s Osun governorship election. Party sources indicate that the ADC is considering presenting a “formidable candidate” from Osun West Senatorial District — the same zone as incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke — in what is seen as a calculated move to challenge the PDP’s dominance in the region.

Aregbesola’s decision to personally lead the engagements has been interpreted as both symbolic and strategic. His longstanding influence, organizational depth, and reputation for mass mobilization could provide the ADC with the momentum it needs to become a credible third force in the state’s political landscape.

Observers believe the tour will not only rally party members across wards and local governments but also test the ADC’s ability to convert growing public interest into meaningful political support.

The party, meanwhile, has called on its members, leaders, and supporters to turn out massively, stressing that the newly released timetable supersedes all previous announcements.
