Council bosses in Lagos state are in a state of apprehension.
And this is as a result of the door shut on highly anticipated revenue.
Details available to societynow.ng have it that the Governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode has suspended the sharing of federal allocation, from which the local councils draw their operational funds.
Societynow.ng gathered that a meeting for the sharing of the highly anticipated revenue was initially slated for Monday, January 28, 2018.
‘’But the eruption of impeachment threat against Ambode at the Lagos State House of Assembly forced a shift of the meeting’’ societynow.ng learned.
Insiders disclosed that the ‘’federal allocation sharing meeting’’ was first shifted to another venue for later Monday night before it was eventually called off without any other one scheduled.
Societynow.ng gathered that the council bosses who are major beneficiaries of the revenue from the federal government are becoming agitated with the situation of things, with the general election at hand.
