Confusion In PDP As Gov Ayo Fayose’s Increasing Romance With Chieftains Of Rival APC Unsettles Many

Information filtering in to societynowng.com have it that there is a growing confusion in the People’s Democratic Party.

And this development is said to cut across the different factions that have taken hold of the once upon a time ‘’biggest political party in africa’’.

The reason for this emerging confusion is the increasing romance of one of the most visible face of
the party, Governor Ayodele Fayose with chieftains of the rival All Progressives Congress.

Fayose currently under probe by anti corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is now seen in the media hobnobbing with leaders of the PDP.

Checks revealed the trail began with involvement between him and Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state.

The rapport between them resulted in the latter publicly branding the man who has given his party grief like no other ‘’a worthy individual’’.

The development which created outpour of emotions against Aregbesola from APC members in Ekiti state, primarily at the receiving end of Fayose’s antics, had hardly died down before another happenstance came to be.

Fayose stormed the home of one of the Southwest leaders of APC and former governor of the state, Segun Oni for a friendly parley.

This was followed by release of image of the governor in a warm handshake with APC leader, Atiku Abubarkar while Osun front man Rauf Aregbesola laughs on barely days later.

And there is a general feeling in all the talks ‘’confusion and mystery’’ about the aim(s) of the Ekiti Governor.

And insider disclosed drawn out to comment on what is boss is out to achieve, even the extension of the Governor’s mouth, Lere Olayinka refused to comment.

‘’He is a party of a forum for top PDP members that i belong, governors , former ministers and party leaders are members..someone posted the picture of Fayose with Atiku and Argebesola for Lere to comment, he refused’’ a source stated.
Digs by societynowng.com revealed refusal of Fayose and his sidekicks to provide hints of their objectives with the other side is what is fuelling the confusion and mystery about their moves within the PDP.

The most popular are ‘’defection’’ and ‘’ taking care of his trouble with EFCC politically’’.

It is believed in many quarters that with his return home, surrender, detention and release by EFCC in record time – former Minister Musiliu Obanikoro had negotiated a deal that threw Fayose under the ‘’bus’’.
The two were prime targets for prosecution in a case of diversion of arms funds for prosecution of election.

Obanikoro is confirmed to have served as a go between in the handling of arms funds that was used to execute the election that brought Governor Fayose to power.

But with the that now see him ‘’paying back funds he admitted to collecting’’ Fayose is now believed to be the sole prime target for prosecution.

‘’The talk is that his increasing romance is a form of building a political bridge out of the mess that loom before him once out of power’’ a source stated.

Added information has it that the move by Fayose has root in trying to negotiate a political realignment now that he has stronger electoral value.

His term expires long before any other elected office holder.
