Buhari & Osinbajo Absent As Ganduje Emerged APC National Chairman

at the National Executive Council (NEC)Meeting

Ex-Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has been named as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Former Senator Ajibola Basiru has also been appointed the National Secretary of the political party.

The decisions were made today, August 3, 2023 at the National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting of the APC in Abuja.

The development came to be in the absence of prominent members, former President Muhammadu Buhari and ex-Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

The duo reportedly sent words they won’t be in attendance due to other engagements.

President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima were in attendance as well as first party’s National Chairman, Bisi Akande.

Ganduje and Basiru replace the duo of immediate past National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu and former Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.

Basiru and Omisore are from Osun state. Adamu is a former Governor of Nasarawa state while Ganduje is the immediate past former Governor of Kano state.
