Bago Hails Turnout Of Women In Niger LG Elections
has commended women for their large turnout
Niger State Governor farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has commended women for their large turnout for the local government elections.
The farmer governor gave the commendation in an exclusive interview after casting his vote at the Tswashagi Raba polling unit under Landzun Ward, Bida.
The farmer governor said the large number of women in most of the polling units was encouraging and a demonstration that the women-friendly policies championed by the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, and his wife, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago, are steps in the right direction.
He said the turnout of women to perform their civil responsibilities has further given him reasons and confidence to continue to initiate and support policies that would empower and improve their lives.
The wife of the farmer governor of Niger state, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Bago, also cast her vote at the Tswashagi Raba polling unit under Landzun Ward, Bida.
