Sanwo-Olu Confirms Military Shot At #EndSars Protesters At Lekki Toll Gate, Claims No Death Recorded

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has confirmed those who shot at #EndSars protesters at Lekki Toll gate yesterday, October 20, 2020.

The Governor also claimed the shots fired by the military men at unarmed protesters did not result in any death.

Sanwo-Olu during a live broadcast addressing outrage over the development stated.

“The youths insisted on remaining at the Lekki tollgate despite the curfew imposed.

There was no leadership to urge to appeal to the protesters to go home.

“It is imperative to explain that no sitting governor controls the rules of engagement of the military…

“Fellow Lagosians, while we pray for the swift recovery of the injured, we are comforted by the fact that no fatality was recorded as against the widespread rumour on social media,”
