Sooko Oladipo Is Pro-Chancellor And Chairman As Adeleke Reconstitutes UNIOSUN Governing Council

Governor Ademola Adeleke has dissolved the governing Council of the Osun State University in a bid to strengthen the institution’s governance structures.

In a statement issued today at Osogbo, the governor also reconstituted the governing council to avoid gaps in the operation of the globally rated university.

The newly reconstituted council has Sooko (Prof) Adewale Abiodun Oladipo as the Pro-Chancellor and chairman of Council. He was the chairman of the dissolved governing board.

Other members of the governing council are as follows: Alhaji Gbadegesin Lawal; Her Excellency, Otunba Titi Laoye- Ponnle; Mr Akinola Franklin Omoniyi; Chief Funminiyi Awotide; Mr Orija Samuel Adebayo and Mrs Adewale Adetayo Bola.

The governor tasked the new council to sustain the excellent record of the University and support the university management for further innovative deliveries.

The inauguration of the new council will be held on Monday, August 31st, 2026.
