₦1.84trn Rivers Budget: Fubara Prioritises Welfare, Development, Thanks Wike
as a new chapter of cooperation, unity and progress in the state
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has signed the ₦1.84 trillion 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, describing the development as a new chapter of cooperation, unity and progress in the state.
Fubara, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, said the budget signing underscored his administration’s commitment to the welfare of Rivers people and the continued development of the state.
“Today, I signed the ₦1.84 trillion Rivers State 2026 Appropriation Bill into Law, marking a new chapter of cooperation, unity and progress,” the governor said.
Fubara thanked Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the Rivers State House of Assembly and the people of the state for their commitment to the process.
“I thank Almighty God, the Minister of F.C.T; Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike GSSRS, the Rivers State House of Assembly and all Rivers people for their commitment to this process,” he said.
The governor reiterated that the welfare of Rivers residents and sustained development would remain central to his administration.
“Our focus remains firmly on the welfare of our people and the continued development of Rivers State,” Fubara added.
