Two newlywed couples, Mr Paul and Mrs Loveth Ejeh, alongside Mr Chris and Mrs Florence Agbude, received an unforgettable wedding surprise from MTN Nigeria through the Y’ello Tide Wedding initiative, each taking home NGN2 million, for a total of N4 million.

The joyous presentations took place at separate wedding receptions in the Shogunle and Surulere area of Lagos, marking the first of a series of  surprise weddings planned across Nigeria,  from nearly 700 applicants.

Madaki Gideon, brother to the bride in the Ejeh wedding in Shogunle, shared how he applied on his sister’s behalf after seeing a text message about the Y’ello Tide Wedding, noting that the initiative perfectly aligned with her wedding plans.

Loveth Ejeh recalled her initial scepticism: “My brother helped me apply and fill the form. When he told me about the Y’ello Tide Wedding, I wasn’t convinced, but I allowed him to go ahead. Now I really like the surprise because this is the first time I am receiving something like this and on my wedding day. I’m so happy and blessed!

Her husband, Paul Ejeh, added, “Honestly, we never believed MTN Nigeria would come to our wedding ceremony to surprise us. At first, I thought it wasn’t real, but now that it has happened, we are truly grateful. This huge support will go a long way for us.
