The campaign office of Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been shut in Rivers State.
The action was carried by the Rivers State Government on Friday, December 23, 2022..
Nyesome Wike, a chieftain of the PDP is the Governor of Rivers State.
The campaign office of Atiku was shut down by the River State Government for alleged noise pollution and lack of approval.
The campaign office was reportedly creating too much noise in a residential area.
Atiku’s campaign office reportedly flouted Executive Orders 21 and 22.
While the PDP admitted that it is yet to get approval to operate the campaign office it strongly condemned the act which the party branded as an “illegal” and “egregious move” and vowed to challenge it in court.
