The Governor of Osun State Gboyega Oyetola has revealed why the death of activist Yinka Odumakin is painful.
Oyetola who was at the burial of the Odumakin which held in yesterday, April 23, 2025 in Osun State and labeled the death “one death too many” disclosed in an open message
This morning, I attended the funeral service of our dearly-beloved brother and distinguished patriot, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, which held at the Origbo Anglican Grammar School, Moro in Ife North. His is certainly one death too many and it’s such a trying time for us all, particularly his family.
Yinka Odumakin was an illustrious son of Osun who has left for us on this side of humanity, a legacy of inspirational service, fierce loyalty to the Yoruba race & relentless contributions to the quest for a greater nation. He was a phenomenal leader, who, without holding public office, impacted us in unique ways.
We’re pained by the death of a man who lived for the people. But we must find comfort in the truly phenomenal life he lived. We are indeed grateful for his life and pray God Almighty grant his family and all of us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
