Why UBA Customers Can’t Make Use Of Bank’s Credit, Debit Cards In World’s Fastest Growing Economy, China

A financial institution, United Bank for Africa has made an important decision.

Sources confirmed the management of the bank with Kennedy Uzoka as the Group Managing Director has suspended use of its cards in world fastest growing economy China.

“We are not allowing use of our cards in China until further notice” the bank wrote to customers societynow.ng confirmed.

Societynow.ng gathered one of the nation’s leading financial institution premise the decision on security reasons.

“For protection was written on the communication sent to me” a customer informed societynow.ng.

Further checks by societynow.ng revealed that the decision by UBA to stop the use of its cards in one of the world’s industrial hub is “till further notice”.

The bank promised to notify customers once the restriction on the cards is lifted societynow.ng gathered.

More investigation conducted by societynow.ng revealed that while some customers are not too happy with the development, a larger percentage is happy that the bank took the initiative before “security breach that may gravely affect customers came to be”.

“The good thing is that the bank took the initiative to protect its customers. That is a very key factor to note” a customer noted.
