The growing talks in Oshodi/ Isolo Local Government development area of Lagos State is that All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Kehinde Olodeye Almoroof better known as Kendo will win the upcoming council chairmanship election with a landslide.

The election is set to take place in July 2021 according to revelation made by the Lagos State Independence Electoral Commission (LASIEC).

Societynow.ng gathered that the growing conviction that Oloyede Almoroof and his vice – on the ballot – Modupe Badmus Aregbe will win by a landslide is based on recent developments.

“All the power brokers in the area have aligned with their ambition” societynow.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered that intense opposition from outgoing Council chairman Bolaji Muse Ariyo has transformed into major support since Oloyede Almoroof clinched the APC ticket on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Insiders disclosed that the profile of his supporters within and outside the political arena in and out of the local government development area has become intimidating since then.

Societynow.ng gathered that Almoroof Oloyede has, however, refused to give anything to chance despite holding the ticket of the ruling party in Lagos state.

“With his Vice (Badmus Aregbe) he continues to court more support, holding reconciliation meetings with members of his party who initially opposed him and lobbying hard to get the oppositions to work for him” societynow.ng learned.

Information at hand revealed that three such meetings were held in the last one week with most recent disclosed to have held at the council secretariat on Friday, June 18, 2021.

Among those passionately supporting the ambition of Oloyede Almoroof whose claim to fame is being a big player in the real estate sector to become the next chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local government development area are Musliu Akinsanya the chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), the outgoing Chairman of the council Bolaji Muse Ariyo, Adedayo Thomas the Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board, activist Kayode Salako, former challengers for the position Abiodun Ogundimu and Muritala Williams and others tagged “behind the scene influencers of decision making” in the council.
