Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, senator representing Ogun West and popularly known as Yayi, will clock 56 on August 10.

But days before the occasion, signs of a major build-up have already emerged, drawing interest from within and outside the state.

The senator, who is widely seen as the frontrunner in the race to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2027, has over the years used his birthday as a platform for grassroots outreach. The early publicity has added to speculation that the upcoming event will again be used to demonstrate reach, influence, and support.

Sources familiar with the plans say the forthcoming celebration has already become a subject of local conversation, particularly as the senator becomes more open about his ambition to become the next governor of Ogun.
