Available details confirm that Lagos Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola is out of the race to determine the next Governor of Ogun state.

Insiders confirmed the politician popularly called Yayi is back in his Lagos base.

“He is now fighting to retain his seat as Senator representing Lagos West” a source stated simply.

Societynow.ng gathered that the pullout of Yayi was the result of political “concession” between his major backer and the man all out to ensure he doesn’t realize his ambition.

“Tinubu orchestrated his pull out as part of concession to Amosun for help in retaining political relevance at the National level of party and government” societynow.ng learned.

Troubled politician Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was the main force behind the Ogun state gubernatorial ambition of Senator Adeola.

But he’s currently facing serious threats against his political might within All Progressives Congress – the party he helped formed – and influence in government.

This development comes at a time the man he helped to power, Ibikunle Amosun – Governor of Ogun state – posses tremendous political clout.

Insiders disclosed Tinubu has directed Yayi to move out of Ogun politics as part of overtures to Amosun for support with his political troubles.

The move is said to come with agreements that Yayi would not support any other candidate, especially against the political interest of Governor Amosun .
