Away from the craziness of his antics, findings reveal that more people are falling in love with controversial singer Portable in his base.

The songster, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, operates out of the Ilogbo/Osa-Osa axis of Ado/Odo Local Government in Ogun State.

Sources say he is engaging in many heartwarming gestures that are earning him more fans by the day.

“He is doing a lot of things. He provides free feeding for school children, randomly goes to different areas frequented by Okada riders (commercial motorcyclists), and gives them financial support—up to N5,000 (five thousand Naira) each. He also does the same at filling stations intermittently, paying for fuel purchased by motorists when he arrives. He constantly carries out these acts of kindness, and they are earning him more fans in the area,” sources in Portable’s base disclosed.

Most notable of his contributions to the area is said to be his involvement in road repairs using graders here and there.

Residents confirmed that his image got a significant boost after he called out the state government over the deplorable state of a long stretch of road in his base—after his car got stuck in a failed portion.

The Governor Dapo Abiodun administration responded by rehabilitating an appreciable section of the road.

Although the state government has not returned to complete the rest of the bad road after a year, the section they repaired gave Portable’s profile a big boost.

Sources disclosed that the “unceasing acts of kindness” of the singer—who is said to be building his first house in his base—continue to earn him more followers, despite his mindless social media antics painting him in unflattering colors.
