Information filtering in have it that socialite, politician and Egba titled chief Iyalode Alaba Lawson is currently staying off the public radar.

The key political player in Ogun state is said to have adopted this stance for a while now.

And digs by societynowng.com learnt this approach to public appearance kicked off after the collapse of an undergoing construction government trade complex in the state capital, Abeokuta.

Talks about town is said to have linked the ardent loyalist of Governor Ibikunle Amosun as securing the contract to handle the project.

Added talks however claimed she didn’t directly handle the construction but sub contracted it out to another.
But there are no official confirmation or denial to these talks.

She is however believed to have cut down appearances for the talks to die down.

The governor as moved to douse speculations on who is charge of the ill fated development by claiming responsibility for the development that is a big minus on his administration’s record – injuries and loss of live was recorded in the tragic happenstance.

The governor’s action of accepting responsibility has sparked off intensive whispers of protecting a top level supporter.

The state helms man as gone further to contain the situation by setting up a probe panel to determine what went wrong and those culpable in the face of accusations of substandard materials.

But since all the drama started Iyalode lawson regarded as one of the major support pillars of Governor Amosun and his administration as quietly cut down on her public appearances..and maintains the approach at press time.

Though sources close to her claimed her dwindled show ups in the public space has nothing to do with what is being bandied about town but rather a function of ”no major events to attend”
