Why Gov Amosun’s Men Are Quietly Dropping Their Guber Ambitions!

Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s men have started dropping ambitions to succeed their principal.

His men, in this case, are his arch loyalists in and out of government that have signified intentions to succeed him.

The move making them drop ambitions is attributed to ongoing negotiation between the Ogun state Governor and the parties concerned.

The outgoing state helmsman is said to be making them see reasons why they shouldn’t contest along with promises of good “positions” – in the state and at the federal level – after the election.

Part of the reasons is for his structure – and All Progressives Congress – to retain control of the state government, in order for all to stay relevant.

Most of those who have initially signified interest to become the next governor are said to have dropped their ambitions as a result of the ongoing negotiation.

Everything is however been kept under wraps in order for the Governor to retain the political advantage of using the numbers of his men’s aspirations to negotiate with other camps as election nears.

Insiders disclosed based on emerging scenario, the aspirant to be backed by the Amosun camp would most likely come from Ogun East.
