Political leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has retained a calm but unease silence since the open quarrel between wife, Remi and her colleague in the Senate Dino Melaye erupted.

Dino and Remi reportedly had a go at each other during a close door session of the Senate.

At stake was said to be issue of the ongoing prosecution of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Deputy Ike Ekweremadu for forgery.

The close door session was meant to be a reconciliation attempt but Dino an avowed supporter of Senate President Bukola Saraki was said to have threatened any senator who testify against Saraki in open court with sanction – Remi Tinubu was said to have taken him headlong with is utterances.

The two Senators reportedly used words unfit for distinguished members of the hallowed chamber – even a child of good morals consensus of opinion have it.

Dino obviously prepared for a major engagement, went all over the media space..granting interviews and dishing out write ups detailing his version of event from different angles.

He went as far as out rightly naming Asiwaju Bola Tinubu with taunts to engage him.

”Dino is a fierce backer of the Senate President..and the ongoing engagement with Remi is believed to have presented his camp an opportunity to achieve two aims, one to shift attention from the problems of Senator Saraki and hopefully reduce the magnanimity of the alleged offence and secondly play up the minuses of Tinubu’s wife in such a manner that will rub off the image of the heavy weight politician …and while this is on, Saraki and other players in their camp would leverage on tide to expand frontiers of there support base within and outside the party, especially working on the created perception Saraki’s trouble is diminished” a source provided insight.

And for the ploy to achieve great success, sources further revealed the drama with Remi needs to drag on for long as possible.

According to a source in the know Asiwaju Tinubu caught a glimpse of the plot and that is why he has chosen to remain silent.

Sources further claim recent release of assertions of one hundred percent loyalty to the All Progressive party by Senator Saraki in the midst of the raging drama between Senators Remi Tinubu and Dino Melaye part of the plan.

According to a source ” Remi Tinubu put her husband in the impossible position by gifting the other side opportunity to clandestinely move against her husband…she made a political miscalculation with her utterances against Melaye, but the latter in latching onto the opportunity broke all rules of etiquettes…but then, this a battle for relevance, a war to protect their lifeline and in war all is fair”
