Why Aiyedatiwa Is Enjoying Good Spell As Acting Gov Of Ondo

Insiders confirm that Lucky Aiyedatiwa is enjoying a very promising spell as the acting Governor of Ondo state.

The hails of bad publicity and colorful accusations that heralded his emergence are all gone as he consolidates on the performances of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu SocietyNow.Ng confirmed.

The 58 year old was elected as the Deputy Governor of Ondo state on a joint ticket with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Akeredolu, 66, is abroad recuperating from an ailment that has sparked all shades of talks including demise.

The Governor transmitted executive power to Deputy Governor Aiyedatiwa – as constitutionally stipulated – before he traveled for treatment.

SocietyNow.Ng’s checks learned that the development cost Aiyedatiwa hordes of allegations and accusations without borders, spread all over town, by power mongers in an attempt to derail the process.

Insiders disclosed Akeredolu, also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) refused to flout the constitution by transmitting power to Aiyedatiwa – who is also eligible to contest the 2024 Ondo gubernatorial election.

“And outside the dictates of the constitution, the Governor also has a fantastic relationship with the Deputy Governor, a close relationship fostered over the years and beyond politics” SocietyNow.Ng learned.

Further digs revealed that the power mongers wanted to continue their dark campaigns against Aiyedatiwa after he became acting Governor but “a very strong voice” in Nigeria’s highest office stepped in.

Insiders disclosed that the ” leader” of the those out for Aiyedatiwa was “called to order” and given “severe conditions” to desist from dark engagements rubbing off badly on the party (All Progressives Congress – APC),Ondo state and drawing needless attention to Akeredolu’s condition.

“The person is someone with major influence with Akeredolu and ordinarily could not be sanction like a state actor” SocietyNow.Ng learned.

Insiders insist that it was this move that gave Aiyedatiwa the freedom to be enjoying the promising spell allowing him to consolidate on Akeredolu’s achievements.

Sources disclosed that it has also being a big help to the action Governor that he is not trumpeting all the wins he is recording but prefers to let Ondo state keep the glory.
