What His Aides Are Doing As EFCC Interrogates Lagos Speaker Obasa

The speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa is in the clutches of the anti-corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Sources disclosed that Obasa is undergoing questioning over allegations of corruption level against him.

The allegations borders on diversion of funds, inflation of expenses, and abuse of office.

Societynow.ng gathered that the aides of the speaker are at a loss over the fate of their principal.

Spokesperson Tolani Abatti has been unreachable and other staff at the office of the Speaker are said to be shielding calls to their phones.

An insider disclosed that ‘’the news of the EFCC grilling took them by surprise.’’

‘’From what I heard, the Speaker obviously honored the invitation by the EFCC without informing his staff, he thought he had everything under wraps.’’ Societynow.ng learned.

The added information available to societynow.ng revealed that the embattled speaker’s aides are refraining from making any move or comment on the matter in order not to unknowingly fuel the situation.
