Richard Nyong, the connected real estate developer and Chief Executive Officer at Lekki Gardens has hired round the clock protection to safe guard his person.

And the reason for this development is attributed to fear of the angst of his clients!

Information available revealed acquirers of his high end housing units are up in arms with over reported hidden exorbitant charges.

Part of the purchase agreement is said to be that a management team set up by Nyong

and his team oversees the estate housing the acquired homes.

But according to newsbreaker thecapital,the curx of recent angst against Nyong and his crew is that ‘ his clients lament the exorbitant rents being charged by his management team even after they had made full payment for their respective houses.

‘Some of these additional fees range from payment of an extra N55 per kilowatt for electricity to a Deed of Assignment fee, which is in excess of half a million naira per person, to poor infrastructure and a monthly service to the tune of a quarter of a million naira per apartment’

Nyong’s firm is said to oversee over ‘ 2,000 housing units comprising thousands of semi-detached houses to terraced duplexes and flats in more than nine residential estates. They are named Lekki Horizon, Lekki Paradise, Lekki Gardens II, III and IV located between Chevron Bus Stop and Lagos Business School, Victoria Island, Lagos’.

Added information revealed the home owners on the other side of the excessive charges had initiated moves to seek redress, but the estate developer is said to have spurned attempt at dialogue.

And as the atmosphere becomes more tensed and fearing for a backlash beyond borders of civility, the man at the centre of the storm is said to have contracted a private security outfit for round the clock protection.
