“We Have Reclaimed 1,229 Hectares Of Land” – Obaseki, Vows To Get More

Governor Godwin Obaseki says the Edo state government has reclaimed 1,229 lands from land grabbers.

The hectares of land were recovered along Irhirhi-Obazagbon-Ogheghe Road according to the Governor who vowed to recover more and put an end to land grabbing in Edo state.

“We have reclaimed the 1,229 hectares of state government land along Irhirhi-Obazagbon-Ogheghe Road. There is no more hiding place for land grabbers in the state. Any person found culpable will be prosecuted, as my administration will not tolerate impunity and a reign of anarchy.

During my inspection of the reclaimed hectares of land, I disclosed that presently, we have 22 suspected land grabbers in custody and have declared many others wanted. We will rewrite the wrong done by land grabbers.” is how Obaseki announced the recovered land in a social media post.
