Video: F.G Tells Gains For Nigeria As BUA Group Signs Contract With CBMI To Build New Cement Factory
in less than 20 months.
In celebration of 12years of an enriching business relationship that is having lasting impact on the nation’s economy, BUA Group and CBMI have signed a contract to build a new BUA cement factory in Edo state.
Both parties signed the agreement, for the construction of the factory dubbed BUA Cement (Obu) Line 4, at a ceremony in Abuja on Friday, July 26, 2024.
The factory will be constructed in less than 20 months according the term of the agreement. The ground breaking ceremony “hold in a couple of days ” according to the Chairman – and founder -of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu.
Located in Ososo, Edo state, the Cement factory will produce three (3) million metric tonnes of cement per annum in development that would further soar BUA cement’s market share and boosts its contributions to the nationś economy across different areas including wealth creation and employment.
And the federal government is very happy.
Speaking at the contract signing ceremony between BUA Group and CBMI, one of the representatives of the Federal Government at the occasion, Nura Abba Rimi- the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment – highlighted th gains of the partnership between BUA and CBMI with “Let me congratulate both parties for their resilience in forging a partnership that has transcended a decade and providing an important and critical platform for advancing the develoment of Nigeria, by creating employment and generating wealth and foreign exchange through export”.
