Unease Amongst Ogun Gov Ibikunle Amosun’s Men As Lagos Senator Solomon Adeola “Yayi” Grows Into Formidable Opposition In Battle To Succeed Their Boss

There is unease amongst the men of governor of Ogun state, Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Out of state contender aiming to become the next governor of state, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola – the Senator from Lagos state has grown into a formidable opposition.

Arch loyalists of governor Amosun in and out of his government are looking forward to become the successor of their boss.

But the confidence in achieving a seamless transfer of power is currently threatened.

The man many gave little chance of success is speedily transforming into ‘’a monster threat’’.

Senator from Lagos West, Solomon Adeola popularly known as Yayi has made known intention to succeed Governor Amosun and is engaged in passionate underground campaign to achieve his aim.

Sources disclosed identified oppositions from major voice in politics of the state and former president Olusegun Obasanjo and the incumbent governor appear to only fuel his ambition.

Senator Adeola is said to be currently clinically mobilising the youths to his side.

‘’He is recruiting them right from wards level and giving them sense of belonging in engagements with them with promises of better recognition in his government…he has made them stakeholder in his project and i tell you cornering the youths votes is a game changer ’’ a source analysed.

Insiders disclosed the strategy of media blitz that created a larger than life image in the politics of Ogun state provided ground work for ongoing vigorous campaign for real support.

And it said to be paying off, as more top level players in the politics of the state openly and clandestinely queue behind Yayi in the battle for who becomes the next governor of Ogun state.
And the Governor’s men seeing the hand writings on the wall are said to have started becoming weary – though taking consolation in ‘’power of incumbency’’ for now.

Interestingly at press time, both Governor Amosun and Senator Yayi belong to the same political party, All Progressive Congress.

The difference being, Yayi has political roots in Lagos where he rose through the ranks to become sitting senator, before declaring ambition to become next governor of Ogun state while the reverse is the case for incumbent Amosun and his band clamouring for home grown politician to support him.
