Uba Sani Tells Why Naming Aliyu Tajudeen As MD River Basin Authority Is Well Deserved

Governor Uba Sani has commended the appointment of Aliyu Tajudeen as Managing Director of Upper Niger River Basin Authority, describing it as putting a square peg in a square hole.
In a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa on Sunday, the Governor said that the appointment is well deserved and based on merit.
Governor Uba Sani also thanked President Bola Tinubu for picking one of the brightest sons of Kaduna State to head such a strategic agency which is at the heart Agricultural sector of the nation’s economy and Renewed Hope Agenda.
Describing the new Managing Director as an accomplished technocrat, the Governor noted that Aliyu Tajudeen has worked across four sectors, as an educationist, a banker, an agricultural extension officer and a versatile player in the corporate world.
The statement disclosed that the Managing Director had worked with Sunseed Nigeria Limited before moving to FSB Bank, where he held very senior positions.
According to the statement, Aliyu Tajudeen spent 20 years at the British-America Tobacco Company, where he was at various times the Regional Manager(North), Regional Manager(Middle Belt) and Regional Manager(South).
At the same British-America Tobacco Company, the new Managing Director was Material Planning Manager and Security Supply Chain Manager. Before his latest appointment, Aliyu Tajudeen was Country Manager For Niger Republic and Burkina Faso.
The Managing Director of Upper Niger River Basin Authority holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and has attended various professional courses on Project Management and Supply Chain Management, the statement added.
Governor Uba Sani advised Aliyu Tajudeen to leverage his vast experience and dedicate himself to taking the River Basin to greater heights, so as to contribute his quota to the greater goal of achieving President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
