Zenith Bank continues making headlines for all the proper reasons, with Group Executive Officer Ebenezer Onyeagwu firmly in charge.

From global recognitions not limited to rating as the Best Commercial Bank in Nigeria to the standout deal with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to soar commerce in Africa beyond measures and paying shareholders NGN100.47 billion as dividends, the list of Zenith Bank wins continues to grow.

SocietyNow.Ng’s checks revealed two influential women involved at the topmost level in the day-to-day of the winning formula fashioned by Chief Executive Officer Onyeagwu.

They are Adaora Umeoji and Adobi Stella Nwapa.

Umeoji is the Deputy Managing Director dubbed legendary by Vice President Kashim Shettima while Nwapa is the less quiet pioneer staff that rose to become Executive Director.

Before she was appointed Executive Director, Nwapa was General Manager and Group Zonal Head of Ikoyi Zone and the Group Head of Diaspora Banking.

On her part, Deputy Managing Director Umeoji – marital name Nwokoye – built her reputation on fantastic returns as Zenith Bank’s Executive Director in charge of the Public Sector, Abuja, North, Middle Belt, and South-East Zones.

The holder of the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and first-class honors in Law from Baze University Abuja.

Added to Umeoji’s qualifications are a Master of Laws from the University of Salford, United Kingdom, and another Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calabar.

She is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Harvard Business School as well as that of the Global Banking Program from Columbia Business School.

SocietyNow.Ng’s checks revealed Executive Director Nwapa on the other hand, is credited with a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in History from Imo State University, a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from Strayer University, Houston-Texas, and another Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Jack Welch Management Institute.

With over thirty years of cognate experience in banking, Nwapa holds an honorary doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Abia State University.

Added digs revealed that Umeoji is a fellow of different professional bodies including the Chartered Bankers Institute of London, the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, the Institute of Credit Administration, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria, the Institute of Chartered Meditators & Conciliators, and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria, among others

While Nwapa is a fellow of the institutes that include the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), the Institute of Credit Administration (ICA), the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (ICMA), and the Institute of Management Specialists (IMS), United Kingdom.

And is also a member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and an honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB).

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the two female bank chiefs are bringing a combined over 50 years wealth of experience to bear in helping Group Managing Director Onyeagwu to make the financial institution he oversees the leading retail bank by kilometers in this part of the world.
