Transport Union Boss, Tajudeen Agbede On Property Acquisition Spree

…Acquires 2plots for N30m, allegedly owns 10 others and hotel in same area

Tajudeen Agbede, the man in charge of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos state chapter is on a shopping spree.

And his purchases are not cars or clothes, but Properties.

And the man that took over from the more popular Alhaji Olohunwa is said to have peculiar interest in a particular area of Lagos state, Oke Ira Ogba.

Insiders revealed he just snapped up two plots of land- with four flats- for the asking price of N30m ( Thirty Million Naira). Sources confirmed, he concluded the arrangement last week.

The recent acquisition is described as  ‘located directly opposite Ayo Alabi street’.

Prior to this development, investigation confirm the Union boss owns an hotel in another part of that area.

The hospitality centre is identified as Fabsat Hotel. And specifically situated on Pipeline Street.

Findings in the area threw up the disclosure that ‘ Agbede owns about 10 properties in this area’

There is a popular tale of how he acquired the property beside his hotel, and relocated the owner to another land behind the Local Government secretariat situated in that part of town.

‘That is a window into the length he goes to achieve his aim’ a source confirmed.

It is yet to be established special attraction Oke Ira area of Lagos has for the State Union helmsman.

According to an informant ‘ he has agents that searches for properties with owners appearing to be in need of financial aid and offers way out by buying their properties’

Insiders revealed with an increasing number of estate agents working for him – because of the commission they get on each purchase- Agbede has growing offers to chose from. And he is still buying.

These revelations are described as ‘not the only ones he has in Lagos state- and beyond’.

What is however not clear is where he gets the huge wealth to execute these acquisitions.
