Tinubu’s Son In Law, Oyetunde Ojo Caught In Cross Fire With Gov Ayo Fayose

Oyetunde Ojo, federal House of Representatives member and son in law to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress is now caught in the cross fire of political fight with Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose.

Ojo a House of Representatives member from Ekiti on the platform of APC is being linked with the arrest of four ‘armed men’ believed to be political thugs in his state.

The individuals identified as Odebunmi Idowu, Aliyu Yusuf , Oladayo Obikoya and Ogunkuade Oluwatosin were reportedly arrested with with guns, axes, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons by policemen in early hours of today.

Though details into police investigation remain sketchy, political talks premise the arrest on allegations of serving as agents Oyetunde utilises to ‘terrorise’ supporters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Erijiyan and Ikogosi Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government.

The Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Faypse is said to have shown more than a passing interest in the development.

According to information Lere Olayinka, media aide to Governor Ayo Fayose made popular ‘They were arrested in a red-coloured Nissan Sunny with registration number Ekiti AH 176 EFY, and were moved to the Aramoko-Ekiti police station, where they were detained briefly before they were moved to the Police Headquarters, Ado-Ekiti.’

The information added the armed men were apprehended ‘while trying to escape through Efon-Alaaye at about 3am today.’.

One of the suspects, Ogunkuade Oluwatosin Jasper is the incumbent National Vice-President of NANS (External Affairs).

The information made popular by Olayinka and attributed to Yinka Gbadebo, the immediate past National President of National Association of Nigerian Students paint the suspects as politcal thugs of the All Progressives Congress.
