“The Spirit Of Fear Depart From Our Streets, Cities” Pastor Oyakhilome Prays As Churches Remain Shut
Eniola Adeniyi
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of the Christ Embassy prays for the immediate departure of the “spirit of fear from our streets, cities” as churches and other religious places remain shut in the fight against dreaded disease Coronvirus (Covid-19).
The government has ordered the closure of places that attract high numbers of human movement as part of efforts to combat the spread of the highly contagious disease.
The church falls under the category of places that have been shut down as Sunday Services fail to hold dor the second week in most Christian Ministries.
While the government insists the decision to close places of worship is as a result of health reasons, religious leaders likened it to “fear” and “lack of faith”.
And this is apparent in the prayer by Pastor Oyakhilome during the week.
The prayer by the Christ Embassy lead pastor as sourced by societynow.ng on churchgist reads
“We come against the spirit of fear and intimidation! In the Name of Jesus we bind you devil of fear, you devil of terror. We command you to depart from our governments, we command you to depart from our streets, we command you to depart from our cities in the Name of Jesus!”
