The Macallan Brings Together The Capital’s Most Recognised Faces At Unveiling Of Timeless Collections In Abuja

Celebrated artist Femi Leye rounded off the evening with a live performance.

Abuja played host to an exclusive gathering of prominent personalities on Friday April 24, 2026, as The Macallan unveiled its Timeless Collection, a redesign of its iconic bottles, at an intimate event that brought together some of the capital’s most recognisable faces.

The event, which marked the second stop of The Macallan’s Nigerian rollout following its Lagos debut earlier this month, drew music executive and culture advocate Audu Maikori, Real Housewives of Abuja stars Princess Jecoco and Tutupie Skari, as well as lifestyle personalities Sunky O, Nini Ilobi, Lydia Gana and Itodo, among others.

The Macallan Brand Educator and Ambassador, Abuja, Yinka Adepetu, led guests through an immersive evening that opened with a live string quartet performance before moving into a three course dinner, each course paired with expressions from the Double Cask Collection, spanning the 12, 15 and 18 Year Old.

The dinner pairings were designed to illustrate how the marriage of American and European oak shapes the whisky’s distinct flavour profile, with notes ranging from honey, vanilla and cinnamon to dark chocolate and dried dates. Celebrated artist Femi Leye rounded off the evening with a live performance.

At the centre of the night was the brand’s Timeless Collection, a redesign of its Double Cask and Sherry Oak Collections developed in collaboration with acclaimed graphic designer David Carson. The new bottle silhouette draws inspiration from the sweeping roof of The Macallan’s Highland distillery, while a triangular shoulder label references Spain’s Sherry Triangle. New rear label cask symbols have also been introduced to help consumers better understand the role of American and European oak in shaping the whisky. The liquid itself remains unchanged.

Speaking on the launch, Hammed Adebiyi, Senior Brand Manager, West and Central Africa at Edrington, said: “The Timeless Collection launch is an exciting moment for The Macallan in Nigeria. It reflects our commitment to evolving thoughtfully while staying true to the heritage and craftsmanship that define the brand. For consumers, trade partners, and whisky enthusiasts, the new visual identity offers a clearer, more engaging way to experience the portfolio, without altering the exceptional whisky they have come to know and trust.”
