He was rearrested by anti corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at a Katsina High Court.

The development came after a one hour standoff in which the former governor claimed he was been purposefully publicly humiliated.

Shema is currently facing trial for allegations bordering on criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of public funds

He reportedly surrender to the agency after his emotional faced with the reality of agency’s resolute stand to take him back into custody.

Checks revealed the move to rearrest the former governor has root in alleged refusal to honour the agency’s invitation which resulted in declaring him wanted in September 2016.
