Tales Of Agony As President Buhari Visits Lagos

There is an emerging frenzy on the social media – regarding Lagos state.

And it all about the tales of hardship being experienced as a result of the two day official visit of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The president is scheduled to arrive Lagos at about 11.30a.m for the visit which begins today- March 29, 2018.

The state declared a public holiday and issued a traffic advisory in a bid to take care of any “eventualities” of the President’s visit on the citizens’ movements.

The holiday is also to help mobilize support group to come “cheer” the president on arrival and at different locations he would be making appearances.

But it appears things aren’t going as planned.

Early reports indicate the closed routes have inflicted the pains of the sufferings of trekking on commuters in the affected areas.

Private sector workers are lamenting the agony of lack of transportation to desired locations.

And traffic gridlock is speedily building up in alternative routes as many want to quickly get things done and escape the growing panic as situations of congestion in other parts filter in.

Videos of the developments with unflattering comments have stared trending on line.

Even calls made to Traffic Radio (96.1FM) the traffic station owned by the state government confirmed the developments.

Travelers are said not to be left out of the “situation” many passengers are said to have started having it hard with cancelled and rescheduled flights.

The President is expected to commission a mega bus stop and attend the “birthday event” of political figure Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, amongst other engagements during his visit.
