Super Eagles Not Included As Senate President, Akpabio Shares Photos Of His Time At AFCON

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio was in Cote De’Voiries to support the Super Eagles in the ongoing football tournament, Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Akpabio and his co-travelers attended the quarter-final match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Palancas Negras of Angola.

After the match that was won by the Super Eagles, the Senate President released pictures of his time at the tournament along with the narrative that

“Today, I led the Federal Government delegation to the quarter final match between Nigeria and Angola.

The match ended 1-0 in favour of pur darling Super Eagles. On arrival in Cote de’voirie, the host country, I met with the team and assured them that the Federal Government and

the entire country were solidly behind them and they should go ahead and make the country proud by winning the cup.”

Though he wrote that he met with the team, pictures with the Super Eagles were not included

in the ones shared by Akpabio on his verified facebook page 14hours after he shared his experience.
