Those who should know have confirmed – known ex militants are now decorated in fresh affluence.

And a testament to this labelled their new life of luxury.

Some just acquired new cars and resumed related pastime associated with them when got paid by the past administration of Ex President Goodluck Jonathan.
Sources disclosed those now known to have fallen into fresh affluence fall into this category of beneficiary of the cancelled Amnesty Programme.

New Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari had cancelled the programme drawn up by the former President Jonathan to keep the agitation of the Niger Delta militant in check.

But information filtering in revealed the government pay had quietly reversed itself against the background of renewed going out of control violence that has taken hold of the region.

The quiet payment that has suddenly transformed the lifestyle of those concerned is reportedly meant to break the ranks of the agitation by keeping beneficiaries off the violence.

The raging agitation with new group Niger Delta Avengers at the fore front had resulted in blowing up of major oil installations which as heavily affected the nation’s revenue

And not only this, their action equally raised major issues of national security as the group threaten to bomb the country’s capital Abuja, the President’s abode and major government structures in and out of the area.

According to a source ”the talk filtering out with the new affluence being exhibited by the former militants on the amnesty programme is that a quiet payment was effected to prevent them from joining the fray…limiting the angst the government has to contend with in that region”

The talks of payment further has it that the payment was outstanding funds earmarked the beneficiaries concerned.
