State Assembly Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa Beats Up Police Aide

Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa reportedly beaten up a police Sergeant attached to him.

The report said the Speaker beat up the security aide when the latter complained to him about the nonpayment of his duty and food allowances.

The attack was confirmed by the Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) , DSP Othman Abubakar to newsmen in Yola.

DSP Abubakar stated that the Area Commander in charge of Yola Area Police Command was looking into the case while eyewitness added that Rt. Hon. Mijinyawa was livid with anger when the policeman complained to him, and descended on his victim.

It was said that the Speaker’s victim was rescued by a civil Defence official.
