Sporadic Gun Shots At Olubadan Palace During Installation Of New Chiefs To Replace Gov Ajimobi’s Kings

Sporadic gunshots hit the palace of Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji earlier today.

The rain of bullets was reportedly carried out by five mystery gunmen.

According to multiple reports, the gunmen stormed the Aje Ogungunniso, Popoyemoja Ibadan, Oyo state palace of Oba Adetunji in a Toyota Space Bus.

“It was a Open Roof Sienna” a source stated.

The development reportedly transpired during the installation ceremony for new chiefs that replace those upgraded to Kings by Governor Ajimobi against the wishes of the Olubadan.

Further revelation has it that the “attack” which lasted about “ten minutes” failed to stop the ceremony.

No casualty was recorded in the attack that had the Osi Olubadan and former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, and Baamofin of Ibadanland, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin already seated in the palace when it occurred.

The attackers wore black clothes and tie red fabrics on their necks according to eye witness accounts.

Law enforcers are said to be already on the case.

Olubadan is currently in court against Governor Ajimobi for upgrading chiefs under him to positions of kings – against his wishes as well as custom and tradition.
