Soludo Shows APGA’s Might Ahead Anambra LG Election

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has showcased a strong indicator of the might of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ahead of the Anambra State local government election.
The statewide electoral process is set for Saturday, September 28, 2024.

The former Central Bank Governor led a grand rally organized by APGA at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the state capital, in an exhibition of the large following his party commands on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

“Yesterday was a clear reminder that APGA is still the party of the people! As we head into local government elections next Saturday, I’m convinced that ndi Anambra will stand with us,” Soludo posted on social media on Sunday, September 22, 2024, accompanied by pictures that highlighted his claim.
He went on to provide insight into the nature of the upcoming local government election, assuring the public, “At my inauguration, I promised free, fair, and credible local government polls within two years. For me, this is a promise made, promise kept.”

The governor urged party faithful and the larger society to fully participate in the electoral process, charging them: “Let’s come out en masse next Saturday and vote for APGA—your party, my party, our party!”
Since taking office, Soludo has made significant strides in transforming Anambra State.

His administration’s achievements which include boosting Anambra’s economy by driving initiatives to improve internally generated revenue (IGR) and attract investments and Infrastructure development via road construction and urban renewal projects modernizing cities like Awka, Onitsha, and Nnewi are expected to boost the chances of the candidates of of his party – APGA – at the polls.
