Today, (September 26,.2024) we took a giant leap forward in education for our beloved State!
I’m proud to announce the expansion of our free education policy to include senior secondary students in all public schools, building on our existing free education from Nursery to JSS 3.
Our vision is clear: to guarantee every child in Anambra access to free, quality education from nursery through secondary school.
For families who have already paid school fees, rest assured that refunds will be issued. We believe that education should be a right, not a privilege.
We also recognize that the foundation of quality education lies in our teachers. That’s why we are prioritizing teacher quality to ensure our students receive the best possible education.
I’m pleased to share that by next month, in October, we will implement the new minimum wage, reinforcing our commitment to our educators and public servants.
Education is the key to unlocking our children’s futures, and it’s a collective responsibility we all share. Despite resource constraints, we are dedicated to making education not just qualitative, but accessible to all.
