Soludo Gives Conditions For Open Advertisement Of Herbal Medicines
“to contain the excesses and the indiscriminate use of herbal concoctions”
Governor Charles Soludo has put a stop to indiscriminate advertisement of hebal medicines in Anambra state.
The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) made the move in a statement released by Commissioner for Infomation, Paul Nwosu.
According to the statement all advertisement for herbal drugs must be vetted and approved by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Herbal Medicine and Pharmaceuticals before such can be publicly displayed.
“The ban on open advertisement of all forms of herbal medicines in the state is to contain the excesses and the indiscriminate use of herbal concoctions among the people,” the statement stated.
