The numbers are not adding up for Singer Olamide insiders disclosed.

And to arrest what may transform into a damaging slip he needs to churn out eye-catchers that would revamp attention and protect popularity of the ‘’Baddo Image” a source disclosed.

And that is what the entertainer who has created a street phenomenon out of his real name Olamide – Adedeji – is trying to achieve with the release of the controversial song dubbed ‘’Logo Benz”.

The song he ‘’cooked” with Lil Keshi was filled with verses which feasted on social ills, especially the menace of ‘’get rich by all means” thinking of the young people.

The song attracted widespread condemnation but the reaction didn’t give Olamide the traction same gimmick did on another heavily condemned song ‘’Science Student”.

Science Student which played on the damaging culture of drug abuse returned Olamide to the lips of the society at a time his popularity was ebbing.

‘’He didn’t get anywhere near the popularity the Science Student’s stunt gave him with Logo Benz” a source pointed out.

The singer’s ploy at another tactic to get into the New Year as the talking point also fell flat.

Olamide’s release of pictures of self, looking dapper and puffing cigarettes failed to attract desired attention.

And to crown it all, he went to deliver what sources claim was a ‘’a casual” performance at the biggest end of year concert to connect with his fans base – the One Lagos Fiesta.

‘’Olamide’s performance showcased symptoms of an artist battling burn out” a source stated.

Checks by societynow.ng revealed that the huge traction the Science Students stunt gifted Olamide, the entertainer also known as Badoo as experienced a gradual dip in popularity.

Compared to the increasing visibility of intense competitors, Davido, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage the street voice’s career has taken a not so buoyant turn.

And it appears rather than return to the ‘’type” of musical deliveries that soared him to the position of a force to be reckoned with, Olamide is turning desperate an attempt to get the right medley of publicity stunts to help the numbers of his popularity add up.
